Radiohead's Thom Yorke Gatecrashes UN Climate Change Conference As 'Journalist'

December 18, 2009
Radiohead's Thom Yorke Gatecrashes UN Climate Change Conference As 'Journalist'Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has made a surprise appearance at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

The conference, attended by the likes of US President Barack Obama and PM Gordon Brown, is aiming to curb climate change.

The event is closed to the public but Yorke told GristTV he had gained entry as a member of the press.

"I'm here as a press person," he said, before adding: “Let's see how long it lasts before I get kicked out."

Yorke also revealed that he had decided to attend the conference “at the last minute” and urged politicians to “look at the bigger” picture to resolve the issue.

The singer recently hit out at the UK government's decision to approve ten sites in England and Wales for nuclear power stations to be built.

You can watch the singer's interview below.
