Thom Yorke Confirms Plans To Release New Solo Songs This MonthSeptember 3, 2009
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is to release two new songs later this month, he has confirmed.
The release, entitled 'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses', will be available on a special 12” vinyl from September 21. In a statement, Yorke said the title track was a “radical rework” of a song originally written and played by himself and Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood. He described the other song, 'The Hollow Earth', as “a bass menace that was born out of the 'Eraser' [Yorke's solo album] period but needed a little more time”. Both songs have been produced by Nigel Godrich and mastered by Bob Ludwig. “They are being put out on 12" with sliced sleeve by Stanley and Tchock,” Yorke added. In addition to the limited vinyl, fans will also be buy 'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses' as a digital download from October 6. Details of the release were originally leaked during Radiohead's headlining appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals last week.
