Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant 'Disconnected' From Heavy RockAugust 31, 2010
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has admitted that he feels disconnected from heavy rock.
Plant said his music tastes had changed in recent years, particularly in comparison to band mate and bassist John Paul Jones. Jones currently plays with Them Crooked Vultures, while Plant released a has diversified to more alternative genres. Plant told the Independent he had watched Them Crooked Vultures at the Royal Albert Hall and said his ears "bled for two days". He added: “I feel so far away from heavy rock now. It's quite odd, how mine and John's paths seem to have crossed over – we've sort of gone into each others' worlds a bit." Plant is due to release his new solo album ‘Band Of Joy’ on September 13. The follow-up to 2007's 'Raising Sand' was co-produced by Plant and Nashville guitarist Buddy Miller. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Robert Plant 'Can't Relate' To Led Zeppelin Anymore (07.01.2011)
