Scott Weiland: 'The Internet Has Destroyed Journalism'June 18, 2010
Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has claimed that the internet has “destroyed modern journalism”.
The singer told XFM that the internet was “all crap” and that it frequently provided inaccurate information. "I read written reviews in major newspapers, but online stuff is like just a hyper-version of telephone,” he said. "It's ridiculous. There are a lot of great things that have come from it, but I think there's a lot of bad things. I think it's destroyed modern journalism. It's turned things incredibly tabloidesque.” Weiland added: “Anyone who thinks they have passed basic creative writing 101 can be a blogger." The singer's comments come just days after Stone Temple Pilots played a huge gig at London's Brixton Academy. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Scott Weiland To Release Autobiography (17.09.2010)
