Bruno Mars Planning UK Move After Singles Chart TriumphJanuary 17, 2011
![]() The US star's single went straight in at number one at the weekend, shifting 149,834 copies. It is the biggest-selling single release in January since Babylon Zoo’s ‘Spaceman’ in 1996, which sold 383,000 copies. “[It’s] such a special place for me, I just love it out here. I think the people are great,” Mars said of his chart triumph. “It’s just this is where it’s at for me. I’m getting a house over here; I know it. That’s the next investment.” Mars’ second chart-topping single comes just two days after tickets for his first headlining UK tour sold out in minutes. The only other new entry inside the top-10 was JLS’s Tinie Tempah-featuring single ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, at number ten, according to the Official Charts Company. Rihanna remained at number one on the album chart for a third week with 'Loud'.
