Lou Reed 'Brings Susan Boyle To Tears'

September 9, 2010
Lou Reed 'Brings Susan Boyle To Tears'Lou Reed brought Susan Boyle to tears after he refused to allow her to sing his hit, ‘Perfect Day’, it’s been reported.

The Britain’s Got Talent star was due to perform the song with a 100-strong choir on America’s Got Talent.

But Reed apparently banned her from using the song because he isn’t a fan of the 49-year-old Scot.

A source told The Sun: "She had flown to America to do this and was very excited. Her version of the song was perfect. You could tell she was upset. It's very disappointing for her."

Boyle was apparently given the option of performing another song but refused and flew back to the UK.

‘Perfect Day’ featured on Reed’s second solo album ‘Transformer’, which was released in 1972.
