Michael Jackson's Will 'Does Not Exclude His Father'July 1, 2009
Michael Jackson's has not excluded his father, Joseph, from his will, according to reports.
US media reports earlier this week claimed Jackson had overlooked his father in the document, which was written in 2002. But reports today (July 1) claim Jackson left his entire estate to the Jackson Family Trust. People magazine says Jackson's 79-year-old Katherine is named guardian of his three children - Prince Michael Junior, 12, Paris Michael Katherine, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II. Despite reports, Jackson has not listed any charities as beneficiaries of the will, the magazine claims. The will is due to be filed at Los Angeles Superior Court today (July 1). The five-page document reportedly names Jackson's attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain as executors. Branca was Jackson's main lawyer between 1980 and 2006, when he was let go. He was rehired a week before the star's death last Thursday. There is confusion over the value of Jackson's estate – with estimates ranging from $500million to $1billion. Jackson's mother was given temporary guardianship of the singer’s three children on Monday. She will have control of the children until the case is heard on August 3. As previously reported, Jackson's body is due to be transported from his family home in Los Angeles to Neverland on Friday. The body will go on public display until a private memorial service is held, possibly as early as Sunday, it's been reported.
