Metallica Announce 'Death Magnetic' Album Release DateAugust 4, 2008
Metallica’s eagerly awaited new studio album ‘Death Magnetic’ will be released worldwide on September 12th.
The album, the follow-up to 2003’s ‘St Anger’, will be preceded by the single ‘The Day That Never Comes’, which the band have shot a video for alongside The Celebration director Thomas Vinterberg. In a message on their website, Metallica said announcing the release date was “the last piece of the puzzle.” As previously reported, as well as traditional formats, the album will also be released simultaneously on the next edition of Guitar Hero.
