Lily Allen has sparked further debate on the issue of file-sharing by starting up a blog to house the views of musicians who side with her on the subject.
Going under the name of 'It's Not Alright', the blog features entries from Gary Barlow, James Blunt, Keane, Matt Bellamy and Bat For Lashes as well as links to opinion pieces from Patrick Wolf and Tinchy Stryder.
In an open letter to all musician Allen says, “What I’d like is for artists that don’t think file sharing is fine to get their message out there too. I want to make it clear that file sharing is not alright. And I want the industry and the artists that have made it, to look at how we can help those artists that are still struggling to break through in the file sharing age.”
Last week Lily Allen attacked the stance the FAC (Featured Artists Coalition) are currently taking on the plans to deal with file sharers and accused its members, including Billy Bragg and Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, of “Not helping British music.”
