Lady Gaga Is The Most Listened To Artist Of 2009

Lady Gaga has been named the most listened to artist of the year on Last.fm.

The singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – has amassed an impressive 18.5million listens of her album 'The Fame' on the music site throughout 2009.

The figure is six million more than her biggest rival The Killers' 'Day & Age'.

Impressively, Animal Collective's 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'It's Blitz!' both made the top ten.
