Klaxons Push Album Release Date Back To 2010June 18, 2009
Klaxons' eagerly awaited second album won't be released until 2010, band member Jamie Reynolds has revealed.
Reynolds admitted the band are yet to find a producer to work on the 28 tracks they have written and are a long way off finishing. Explaining that they're happy taking their time, Reynolds told BBC6music: “We’d really like to put out the first great record of the 2010s rather than the last great one of this decade. Now that’s become an aspiration and a goal.” Despite working with Tony Visconti during the embryonic stages of recording tracks for the album, who they later ditched, Reynolds says they're still looking for a replacement. He added: “We’ve now got 28 songs and we’re just about to put it together as a complete record. We’re looking for a producer and if anyone out there makes records, give us a bell.” Klaxons showcased some of their new material at a low-key show in Coventry earlier this month.
