Katy Perry To Appear On The Simpsons At Christmas

Katy Perry is set to appear on a Christmas-themed episode of The Simpsons, it's been announced.

The singer, who was last week axed from starring on Sesame Street, will appear as herself in a segment that features puppet versions of Simpsons characters.

In the episode, Perry is seen performing 'The 39 Days of Christmas' and also strikes up a relationship with bar owner, Moe.

“In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry,” executive producer Al Jean told EW.com.

As previously reported, Perry was scheduled to appear on the New Years Eve episode of Sesame Street, but producers axed the cameo after parents complained about her low-cut outfit.

On Saturday (September 25), the singer poked fun at the reaction during an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
