White Lies: Nine Inch Nails Influenced Our New AlbumJanuary 11, 2011
White Lies have revealed that Nine Inch Nails influenced the electronic elements on their new album, 'Ritual'.
Bassist and songwriter Charles Cave told Gigwise the band started listening to the Trent Reznor-fronted group before they began working with producer Alan Moulder. The English producer worked on several Nine Inch Nails albums, including 1994's 'The Downward Spiral'. “I found that I was listening to them a lot with the knowledge that we were working with Alan,” Cave told Gigwise. “It was music that I had genuinely hadn’t listened to that much before and hadn’t got into. But now after listening to them, I f*cking love them. “I think that’s why we wanted to incorporate some more electronic elements.” 'Ritual', which is White Lies second album, is released on January 17.
