Ou Est Le Swimming Pool To Release Album Following Singer Charles Haddon's DeathAugust 26, 2010
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool are to release their debut album, despite the recent death of singer Charles Haddon.
The 22-year-old is understood to have taken his own life following the band's performance at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium last week. Police believe Haddon jumped from a telecommunications mast located in a parking area at the festival. In a statement, the band's management company said their debut 'The Golden Year' would be released as planned on October 3. “After speaking with the late Charlie Haddon's family, remaining band members Joe Hutchinson and Caan Capan have decided to proceed with the original schedule for the release of the record they planned with Charlie,” they said. The album will be followed by the single 'The Key' on October 10. Meanwhile, Hutchinson and Capan also thanked fans for their “incredible support and best wishes” following Haddon's death.
