George Michael Apologises After Swearing Live On BBC RadioDecember 17, 2009
![]() The former Wham! star was a guest on Chris Evans' drivetime show when he launched into an angry rant about Top Gear. Referring to the motoring show's regular Star in a Reasonably Priced Car feature, he said: “Other than the fact I'd be afraid of coming last on that f****** score board”. Speaking immediately after the outburst, Michael said he “sincerely apologised”. Evans, who is preparing to take over the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show from Sir Terry Wogan, admitted Michael had used “some colourful language”. The incident came less than 24 hours before Rage Against the Machine shocked listeners this morning by singing an explicit rendition of 'Killing In The Name' live on BBC Radio 5 Live. The US band, who are on course to land the Christmas number one spot, had been warned not to swear. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
