Queens Of The Stone Age Reveal 'Blues' Influence For New AlbumJanuary 18, 2011
Queens Of The Stone Age may use blues influences on their new album, it has been revealed.
The band are set to begin recording the follow-up to 2007's 'Era Vulgaris' this month. "We all love the blues, and we all love to boogie ... On the other side, there might be some new scenes," guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen told Spinner. He added: "It's really early in the process and it's not too defined what it is, but we're all feeling really great about it and there's no shortage of ideas. We're trying to filter the best of the best." "We're at the early parts of the record, there's still some writing going on. We're a band that doesn't push things, things naturally happen." Meanwhile, Queens Of The Stone Age are set to re-release their 1998 debut album later this year. (by Holly Frith) See also: Helen Mirren Revealed As Queens Of The Stone Age Fan (15.04.2011)
