Paul McCartney, U2, Leona Lewis Land Golden Globe NominationsDecember 15, 2009
Tracks by Sir Paul McCartney and U2 have been nominated for best original song at the Golden Globes.
The category also features 'I See You' from Avatar, which was sung by Leona Lewis. Sir Paul's track, 'I Want To Come Home', featured in the Robert De Niro comedy Everybody's Fine. 'Winter', performed by U2, appeared in the movie Brothers. 'The Weary Kind (Theme From Crazy Heart)' from Crazy and 'Cinema Italiano' from the Kate Hudson-starring Nine also also nominated. The full nominations for next year's Golden Globes, which are traditionally seen as forerunners to the Oscars, were unveiled in Los Angeles this morning. Up In The Air, starring George Clooney, leads the nominations with six, while Julie and Julia and An Education are also in contention. The awards ceremony takes place on January 17.
