Courtney Love Settles Nirvana Songs LawsuitAugust 18, 2010
Courtney Love and a management firm have settled a lawsuit over the sale of a portion of Nirvana's publishing catalogue.
London & Co. sued Love, the widow of former singer Kurt Cobain, for $1million two years ago, claiming she had failed to share earnings related to the deal. The Associated Press reports that lawyers for both parties settled the lawsuit last Wednesday. The case has been dismissed. Love's attorney James Janowitz confirmed that a settlement had been reached but would not comment further. The Hole singer has maintained control of Nirvana's catalogue since Cobain's death in Seattle in 1994. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Courtney Love 'Wanted To Snort Kurt Cobain's Ashes' (16.03.2011)
