Elbow Start Recording New Album On Remote Scottish IslandFebruary 23, 2009
Elbow have begun recording their new album on the remote Scottish Island of Mull.
Singer Guy Garvey said the group had laid the foundations for some new material during sessions in a converted church. "We've just been recording some new material in Mull, which is the most beautiful place on Earth,” he told the Daily Record. The band have used the remote location to record tracks on their previous three albums. As previously reported, Elbow won Best Group at the BRIT Awards in London last week. The band, who have always been popular with critics, have enjoyed huge commercial acclaim following the release of their Mercury Prize winning album 'The Seldom Seen Kid' last year. The follow-up to the album is expected to be released before 2010. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Elbow To Warm-Up For U2 At Glastonbury Festival 2011 (07.03.2011)
