James Corden Joins Snow Patrol On Stage In London

November 26, 2009
James Corden Joins Snow Patrol On Stage In LondonJames Corden joined Snow Patrol on stage during their gig at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday.

The Gavin and Stacey star duetted with the band on a special rendition of ‘Set The Fire To The Third Bar’.

Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody asked the actor to perform with the group after they spent a night drinking together last week.

“I thought he was joking, then he started singing in the bar and I nearly fell off my chair,” Lightbody said.

"He was brilliant! So we thought why the hell not, doesn’t always have to be a female guest vocalist.”

Corden, who sung the part that was originally performed by Martha Wainwright, said he was honoured to appear on stage.

“I was so sure he wouldn't remember I said yes, and before I knew it I was getting calls about soundchecks and everything,” he said.

“It's an honour to sing with one my favourite bands and I loved every single minute of being on stage with them.”

Earlier this month, Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole performed Wainwright's part with the band at the same venue.
