Nick Oliveri: Josh Homme Said No To My Queens Of The Stone Age Reunion Request

March 25, 2011
Nick Oliveri: Josh Homme Said No To My Queens Of The Stone Age Reunion RequestFormer Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri has revealed that Josh Homme turned down his request to re-join the band.

Oliveri, who left the band in 2004, said he approached Homme at a recent benefit and asked if he could perform with the band.

"I saw them (Queens Of The Stone Age) play in LA, I was down there and I mentioned to them, 'Why don't I come up and do 'Millionaire' or something, and sing it and not play bass?' He (Homme) was like, 'Nah, I don't think that's a good idea yet'," Oliveri told UGO.com.

The bassist is currently on tour with the newly re-formed Kyuss.

Meanwhile, Queens Of The Stone Age have announced details of a UK and Ireland tour in May.
