Depeche Mode Live At London's O2 Arena - ReportFebruary 22, 2010
Depeche Mode played the final London date of their 'Tour Of The Universe' at the weekend and closed things in spectacular style.
The show followed the band's triumphant Teenage Cancer Trust performance at the Royal Albert Hall last week which saw them reunite with their former keyboard player, Alan Wilder, for the first time in 15 years. Saturday's sold-out show at the O2 was originally scheduled to take place on May 30th last year but had to be postponed when singer Dave Gahan fell ill and had to have a tumour removed from his bladder. The band played two sold-out shows at the O2 in December last year, but ticket holders for the postponed May date had to wait until Saturday to see the band perform. Fortunately it was worth the wait. Saturday's concert featured material from the band's latest album 'Sound of the Universe' as well as a selection of fan favourites and some of their greatest hits.
