Fans Pay Tribute To Corinne Bailey Rae's HusbandMarch 25, 2008
Fans have been paying tribute to the late husband of singer Corinne Bailey Rae who died last weekend following a suspected drugs overdose.
Jason Rae, 31, was the saxophonist in the Leeds band the Haggis Horns and had collaborated with Bailey Rae and Amy Winehouse. His body was found at a flat in the Hyde Park area of Leeds on Saturday. A 32-year-old man was bailed in connection with the incident. In messages on the Haggis Horn’s Facebook page, fans said their thoughts were with Rae’s family who must be “dealing with the worst news any of you could get." "I was really saddened to hear the news, I DJed with Jason when he was doing stuff with the New Mastersounds,” said another fan. "Big love to all the band and Corinne, RIP dude." Bailey Rae has yet to release a statement about her husband’s death, although her record label, EMI, yesterday called for the media to respect her privacy.
