Florence & The Machine To Perform At The OscarsFebruary 5, 2011
Florence & The Machine will perform at the Oscars later this month.
The singer - real name Florence Welch - will accompany Original Song nominee A.R. Rahman on a rendition of ‘If I Rise’ from the film 127 Hours. Gwyneth Paltrow will perform ‘Coming Home’ from the film ‘Country Strong’, which she also starred in. Meanwhile, as previously reported, Trent Reznor has been nominated for Best Original Score. The Nine Inch Nails star and composer Atticus Ross are in the running for the award for their soundtrack to The Social Network. It will go up against 127 Hours, Inception, The King’s Speech and How To Train Your Dragon. The 83rd Academy Awards take place in Los Angeles on February 27.
